At the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health, we actively improve patient outcomes using the metabolic approach to cancer. We strive to educate individuals in the cancering process about their options and empower them to make the best choices, treat their entire terrain, and provide a whole-person approach to wellness moving forward.
We surveyed 212 individuals with cancer; the average quality of life before the metabolic approach was 5.6. After using metabolic therapies, these patients reported an average quality of life rating of 7.9. Additionally, 64.3% of these patients are doing better than their original prognosis.
Providing a patient-centric approach to integrative cancer care that works collaboratively and even improves the outcomes of standard of care is what we do best. We are on a mission to keep making an impact one patient at a time.
We look beyond disease management and specifically address the individual’s whole health, providing the physical, mental, and spiritual environment for them to become well again. It is not about just putting a bandage on the wound, but rather, looking at each patient’s story and addressing where that wound came from. The core of our Terrain-based approach includes a comprehensive look at the individual’s health, and then we address the root cause(s) of the problem.
Thrivers are here to say, “this integrative approach really works!”
“I went to ChemoThermia in Sep 21 … followed a similar protocol and have worked with a MATC practitioner and doctor since then, and [I] have had pretty much full reduction on metastases and have been stable for nearly 18 months. I head to Istanbul for a visit next week and want to express my heartfelt gratitude to these two amazing doctors for keeping me alive.”
TEST, ASSESS, ADDRESS — NEVER GUESS
Step 1. Test
We start with “test,” as each individual receives a complete biomedical workup. Some of these tests include standard labs, a Prenuvo scan, metabolic markers, liquid blood biopsies, fresh tissue assays, pharmacogenomics, heart rate variability, nutrition analysis, toxic burden, and more. These various tests are able to paint a full picture of the individual’s terrain and what modalities would support their healing.
Step 2. Assess
We start with “test,” as each individual receives a complete biomedical workup. These tests include standard labs, a Prenuvo scan, metabolic markers, liquid blood biopsies, fresh tissue assays, pharmacogenomics, heart rate variability, nutrition analysis, toxic burden, and more. These various tests can fully depict the individual’s terrain and what modalities would support their healing.
Step 3. Address
Our physicians will then “address” the patient’s needs through research-supported metabolic therapies. Some of our proven therapies include IV therapies, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), radiation paired with hyperthermia, metronomic-focused chemotherapy, ozone therapy, therapeutic diet, and hydrotherapy, to name a few.
Our patients agree that an individualized blend of conventional and alternative therapies makes our approach unique.
“I’m surviving 2 primary cancers, and due to surgical complications from the first, I did about 70 HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) dives trying to heal that particular issue. I often wonder if that’s played a role in my survival.”
Step 4. Never Guess
Lastly, we “never guess” when it comes to how to treat a patient’s cancer diagnosis. We do this through an innovative data platform that provides research and evidence to continuously improve and inform cancer treatment therapies for patients and providers everywhere. Our revolutionized way of care will help cancer patients in future generations.
Thrivers say, “this has changed my life!”
A part of our mission is to empower individuals for a lifestyle change. This is done by providing the research and knowledge for patients to understand their metabolic health better. Our patients feel they can retake control of their lives through research and evidence-based practices.
“As we went into the first lockdown in 2020, I was diagnosed with cancer. I went through 2 years of surgery, chemo, and [Bacillus Calmette-Guerin] treatment. It took an horrendous toll on my body, but mostly it was just bloody frightening. Then I found Nasha Winters and Dr Mindy Pelz, and my life changed!Their approach to health and bodily terrain just totally changed my attitude. And, whilst I am immensely grateful to the Royal Marsden for all their ongoing help and work to rid me of cancer, I also took control of my own destiny to ensure I do everything possible [so] that it doesn’t return. [Dr. Nasha’s] book on The Metabolic Approach to Cancer, and most recently, her new book on mistletoe therapy, were game changers. I’d recommend them to anyone who is living with cancer in their lives.”
People are asking, “when will this become the way we treat cancer?”
Today, more than ever, patients are trying to find human-centered care regarding cancer treatment. It is clear that cancer is becoming more prevalent, and a generalized approach is not the most effective treatment plan for every individual. MTIH understands that cancer patients are not just a number, they are individuals with personal stories, different backgrounds, and unique terrains that need to be healed. Our research-focused approach allows patients to take part in their treatment strategy
“When will this become the standard of care!? So thankful for your research! I did 60 sessions of [Hyperbaric oxygen therapy], inspired by this research, and now work with a Dr. Winters trained doc. SO thankful for all of your work!”
MTIH effectively combines the best standard of care, such as chemotherapy and radiation, and naturopathic remedies, such as nutrition, movement, herbal medicine, stress management, light therapy, and other alternative modalities, for a fully integrative approach to cancer care. We believe patients are meant to be at the center of care. We strive to provide this whole-person care through the Terrain-based approach because we want every cancer patient to be empowered and in control of their wellness journey.
Be the reason why more people can experience this incredible impact!
