At the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health (MTIH), we often hear the same question:

Where do I even begin?

It’s a question that can come after a diagnosis…
after years of not feeling well…
or simply from a quiet sense that something isn’t quite right.

And for many people, what they’re really searching for isn’t just information.

It’s clarity.
It’s support.
It’s someone who can help them make sense of what’s happening in their body — and what to do next.

That’s why we’re always grateful to share the work of providers in our community who are helping to meet people in that exact place.

One of those practitioners is Stephanie Grutz, FNP-C — the creator of the Complex Illness + Cancer Reset, an immersive experience designed to help individuals better understand and support their health in a more personalized way.

A Journey That Started with Her Own Health

Long before Stephanie was working with patients, she was navigating her own health challenges.

In her early 20s, she was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune conditions and told she would likely need to rely on medication for the rest of her life.

But something didn’t sit right.

When she began asking deeper questions, looking for root causes and more complete answers, she often found herself dismissed. And the treatments she was offered weren’t making her feel better.

So she started searching on her own.

That search became a turning point.

Over time, Stephanie explored a wide range of therapies, pursued advanced training in integrative medicine, and began to understand her health in a completely different way — one that looked beyond symptoms and focused on the whole person.

That experience didn’t just change her health.

It changed the way she practices.

From Personal Healing to Supporting Others

Today, Stephanie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, certified in integrative medicine and IV nutritional therapy, and a terrain-trained provider.

Through her practice, The Health Spa by Vive, she works with individuals navigating complex illness, cancer, hormone imbalances, and chronic health challenges.

Her approach is rooted in something simple but powerful: Helping people understand why their body is responding the way it is, and what can be done to support it.

This often includes advanced lab testing, personalized protocols, integrative therapies, and ongoing guidance, but it also includes listening, education, and helping people feel more confident in their decisions.

Because for many, that’s what’s been missing.

Bringing It All Together

That philosophy is what led her to create the Complex Illness + Cancer Reset.

This immersive experience is designed for individuals who are navigating complex illness, cancer, or simply looking to take a more proactive role in their health.

Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, the Reset is built around the individual.

It begins before the event — with lab testing, health history, and personalized insights — so that when participants arrive, they’re stepping into something that’s already tailored to them.

From there, the day becomes a combination of:

  • education

  • integrative therapies

  • personalized guidance

  • and connection with others on a similar journey

For some, it’s a starting point.
For others, it’s the next step.

But for many, it becomes a moment where things begin to make more sense.

Who This May Be For

This experience is designed to support people at many different stages:

  • those recently diagnosed and looking for clarity

  • those in treatment seeking additional support

  • those in recovery focused on rebuilding

  • and those who want to take a more proactive approach to their health

Why Experiences Like This Matter

While many terrain-trained providers work with patients virtually, making this approach accessible from anywhere, there are times when being in the room, having hands-on support, and stepping fully into the experience can make a meaningful difference.

Programs like this create space for that.

They offer not just information, but integration.
Not just answers, but understanding.
Not just a plan, but support.

Participation Details

The next Complex Illness + Cancer Reset will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at The Health Spa in Peosta, Iowa. This is an in-person experience, with some virtual components available, and space is intentionally limited to maintain a highly personalized and supportive environment.

Stephanie offers these immersive Reset experiences two to three times throughout the year, so there are additional opportunities if this date doesn’t align. And for those who are ready to begin sooner, you don’t have to wait for the event. Lab testing and personalized protocols can often be initiated in advance, allowing you to start gaining insight and taking meaningful steps in your health journey right away.
